Computing Curriculum

Computing curricula in Indian Universities is driven by the whims and fancies of academic programmers (I should not be complaining as I too am in the league of extra-ordinary gentlemen, oh yes the movie was a dud!), for whom there is nothing beyond a series of programming languages, and hardware jargons. The discipline of computing has mutated into streams of specialised nature. It is in this context that Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) is proposing a curriculum to guide students, academicians, and engineers to all these knowledge areas. ACM is inviting comments on this Computing Curricula Overview Report, 2005
It will be in the interest of the academic fraternity to contribute to this report through valuable comments. This can atleast narrow the gulf between practioners and academics. Send you comments at ACM feed back before May 30.
