Research for Gratification
I am Madan. K, a Ph.d scholar at
National institute of Industrial Engineering, popularly known as NITIE, Mumbai, India. http://www.nitie.edu
My area of research is Decision Support Systems in Management, Software Business Metrics, and Quality.
Reasearch should be a personal gratifier. I wish to see Indian research on par with those in western universities. Research scholars need to be more open to ideas and work closely with Industry. I donot blame it on lack of resources, it is the attitude towards research that makes reasearch in India a dampner. Reasearchers need to be free thinkers, open to others ideas, and share knowledge without egoistic prejudices.
